Exists are a Malaysian alternative pop/ rock band formed in Johor, Malaysia in 1991. The group comprises Joey (lead vocals), Along (guitar), Musa (bass guitar) and Ujang (drums).

Exists achieved local fame with the release of their single "Untukmu Ibu", followed by their debut album, Exist (1991). The group follows up with Anugerah (1994). Their next release, Diammu Gunung Berapi (2003) quickly rose the band's name in the local music industry. Their next album, Jangan Gentar (1997) were released. Following with Mutan (1998). The following years took Exists on a new shift in their musical style with their release of Ada (2001), Seperti Dulu (2003) and their latest release, Paragon (2003).

History

Formation and first years (1991–1992)

The band was known as Exist before the later Exists. The name Exist was chosen because of the word's meaning; to remain exists. The earlier group lineup was Mamat (lead vocalist, now moved on as a solo artist), Shah (guitar, who left the band and joined Slam), Along and Ajai (who became a popular singer/songwriter in Malaysia
